Ask a healthcare provider or pharmacist before using Voltaren Gel if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Voltaren Gel passes into breast milk and may harm the developing baby. This medication should be taken with or without food, preferably at the same time each day, preferably in the morning. It is not known whether the diclofenac tablet is excreted in the urine. Swallow the tablet as a whole.

The usual dose is one 50mg tablet of Voltaren-Diclofenac (30 tablets) taken with water (8-12 hours after dosing).

If back pain is severe, the gel may not be used as it may cause permanent discolouration of the skin. It is best to use a light, non-dlegged skin massage during lotions or lotions that contain dyes or with a heating pad to reduce the risk of pain coming from sensitive skin.
